Bella Thorne stopped by the InStyle offices yesterday and managed to Shake It Up for our editors. After the triple threat singer-dancer-actress made a beeline for the fashion closet (see the pics above) and answered 10 fan-submitted fashion and beauty questions tagged #AskBella for a fun Twitterview with @InStyle, she sat down to tell us all about her forthcoming record and summer tour. Her inspiration? “This is going to sound weird, but Pitch Perfect!” Thorne said. “They’re just singing with their voice and that was so beautiful. Anyone can sing if you work on it. And that’s what I’m doing.” And the Florida native thrilled about the chance to meet her fans when traveling across America. “I’m excited because I don’t do a lot of performances,” said Thorne. “I’m going to talk to my fans. Bella Thorne had a white Christmas this year! After spending Christmas Eve helping out at the LA Mission, she and family packed up for a road trip to snow Lake Tahoe, NV!

“OK!: How are you spending the holidays?
Bella Thorne: I’m with my family, Tristan’s family, and all of our friends in Lake Tahoe. There’s SNOW!!!

OK!: What are your New Year’s Eve plans?
Bella Thorne: We will still be in Lake Tahoe. We will have a family party and I brought a dress, but I am not sure if I will be able to wear it—it’s VERY cold here!”

OK!: What’s your favorite holiday movie?
Bella Thorne: How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

OK!: What about song?
Bella Thorne: Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, which I got to cover this year on the Disney Christmas album. I was so excited!

OK!: What was the best present you received this Christmas?
Bella Thorne: My Ipad mini!

OK!: What did Tristan get you?
Bella Thorne: He bought me a sweet white-gold bracelet with a cross on it. He is very Catholic!

OK!: What did you give everyone?
Bella Thorne: I gave my mom Chanel perfume and I got Tristan a bike! I got lots of presents for Kingston and I bought my brother some clothes and both of my sisters received shoes.

OK!: What’s your NYE resolution?
Bella Thorne: I am going to join a gym so I can work out with my mom and spend some alone time with her. I am going to be more involved in charity and in my community. I am also going to work on becoming a better singer…well continue to work on it as I am regularly now.

OK!: We saw you tweeting about helping out at the LA Mission over the holiday, why was it important to you to give back?
Bella Thorne: It is very important to give back to your community. I have known what it is like to struggle after my dad died and now I am so thankful for everything I have—I want to share that with my community.

OK!: What was the best part of that experience?
Bella Thorne: The best part was the kids’ faces when they received the toys. That look alone made this the best Christmas for me.

Zendaya on asking a guy to prom: “It’s every girl’s dream to be asked to prom in some cute, romantic way. You know how you have the way its supposed to be in your brain? It’s a vision. I want my fairy-tale moment!”

DoSomething.org and Staples are teaming up with teen actress and recording artist Bella Thorne, for the 5^th annual Staples for Students national school supply drive, to help kids in need. The drive encourages young people to collect school supplies and drop them off at their nearest Staples store starting July 1 through September 15.

Bella will lend her impactful voice to spread the word for this initiative through the campaign’s public service announcement (PSA) now available online and airing on television and radio stations starting next month.

“I’m excited to help motivate fellow teens to make a difference in their communities,” said Bella Thorne. “There are so many kids in America who return to school without basic school supplies, and I’m thrilled to team up with Staples and DoSomething.org to encourage teens to lend a hand.”

Since 2008, the campaign has raised more than $2 million for hundreds of thousands of students in need throughout the country. Past celebrity influencers have included Jordin Sparks, Ciara, Nikki Reed and the cast of Pretty Little Liars.

“We are truly inspired by what teens and our customers across the country can accomplish for the millions of children unable to afford basic school supplies,” said Alison Corcoran, senior vice president of retail marketing at Staples. “With help from celebrities like Bella Thorne and support from DoSomething.org, we can send kids back to school with the tools they need to succeed.”

Bella Thorne‘s TTI on Disney Channel, The Time I…(Dyslexia), has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award!
“I am so pleased The Time I…(Dyslexia) has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award,” Bella said.

“What makes it special is that it is about something that is so important to me and such a huge part of my life-dyslexia,” Bella gushed. “I hope that it shows and inspires others with disabilities to pursue their dreams and know that they can accomplish anything they set their mind to do. Of course, I am so thankful to Disney for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and to share my struggle with all the young people that dyslexia affects.”

Bella Thorne may have a hit TV show on the Disney Channel, but she wants fans to know that she’s nothing like her predecessors Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff. The Shake It Up starlet recently stopped Celebuzz to answer fan questions and, when a fellow “Bellarina” wanted to know how she felt about filling in Miley’s shoes, Bella laid it all on the line.

“Everyone compares me to Miley but I don’t really know why,” she said. “I’m 14-year-old girl trying to do my own thing and live my dream. I don’t think I can even compare to anyone like that.”

“They’re such visions that it’s even hard to picture yourself being compared to that,” the actress added.

Bella, Miley, and Hilary do have one thing in common — all three girls have found success in television. Bella’s show, Shake It Up, has been going strong ever since its 2010 debut. So is there a third season in the works?

“Of course! Why wouldn’t there be?” Bella told us. “We love Shake It Up and to think that we’re even going into the third season is mesmerizing.”

A new Disney Channel movie called “Frenemies” debuted Friday night, casting real-life fashion fans and best buds Bella Thorne and Zendaya Coleman as style watchers who want to turn their blog Geekly Chic into a magazine.

Of course, their friendship is put to the test when they have to compete for the editor job. In the end, though, they go together like a pair of great shoes, doing their best work as a team.

Both girls star in the Disney Channel TV series “Shake It Up,” where they play outfit-obsessed best friends who get a gig as background dancers on a local TV dance show.

Thorne is 14. Coleman is 15 and she prefers to go by the one-word Zendaya, like Madonna or Beyoncé.

Zendaya doesn’t really go anywhere without heels on, and one of Thorne’s favorite outfits ever was a Betsey Johnson party dress with combat boots and funky socks.

Zendaya says she’s learned a lot about shoes from her friend. Thorne is much more into music and dance thanks to Zendaya.

In an hourlong fashion field trip to an H&M store in Manhattan, the girls dreamed up new fashion-forward combos, described their signature looks, and listed must-have items for their purses (phones and headphones for both, but Zendaya also needs her lip gloss).

The girls say they wish they could swap clothes more often, but, alas, while they are cut from the same cloth, they are not the same size. Here are some other tidbits from their visit to H&M.

Associated Press: What’s your style?
Zendaya: I like to be dressed up. I’m pretty neutral, not very funky. I like neutral colors, and black and white. I need to wear more color. I could sit in the closet a long time and be very happy and think about what to wear. I have a definite interest. I study ads in fashion magazines, and I’ll cover up the labels and guess if I know the designer. I quiz myself.
Thorne: I don’t do a stylist because I like the unexpected. I will make up a whole outfit, picking the shoes first. … I also really like leather.

AP: How would you describe each other’s style?
Thorne: If I were going to buy something for myself, I’d get the hot pink, and I’d get the black for Zendaya. She’s sophisticated.
Zendaya: Bella likes to mix it up. She’ll wear frilly with studs.

AP: What would you like to see each other wear more of?
Zendaya: I would like to see her more casual, in jeans and some kick-back Converse.
Thorne: She never wears skirts. (She) should wear more skirts. I’d love to see her in a bubble skirt and a comic T-shirt.

AP: Your biggest obsession?
Thorne: I love to shop shoes. I turned a room into my house into a closet — I made it my shoe closet.
Zendaya: I have a closet full of blazers, and I love shoes. I wear the blazers with shorts, and then I’ll try on all of my shoes.
