Bella Thorne is the covergirl for the third ever issue of Line magazine. She wears BCBGMAXARIA in the editorial— and looks great in it!

The fifteen-year-old “Blow the System” singer talks about how she got into acting, Shake It Up(and her character’s first boyfriend!), her upcoming music, personal fashion, and her impressive dedication to volunteer work!

Check out some of the pictures from the photoshoot, and the interview behind the jump:

“Photoshoot magic à la Bella Thorne took place at Siren Studios in Hollywood, California, days after ringing in the new year. The world may recognize her as a young Disney starlet – but we quickly learned that there is a lot more to the fiery red-haired beauty than her 15 years of age. Starring in Disney’s Shake It Up, Thorne has spent her adolescence singing and dancing her way into adulthood. Although she has three years left until she is officially labeled an adult, she surely possesses the qualities of a bright young woman who is down-to-earth, with a genuine care for others. I had the pleasure of sitting down with the rising style icon as she was prepped for hair and makeup, and within the first 10 minutes of her arrival, we were already in a deep conversation about the reoccurring issue of bullying among children and teens. We discussed lighter matters as well, like our love for Hi-Chew candy, and how we both wish the flavor of strawberry Hello Kitty Gum lasted longer. We talked mascara and our mutual obsession with long lashes, and then of course, boys, relationships, moms, and siblings. We browsed her iPad and drooled over Charlotte Olympia’s signature “Cat Face” slippers online. She purchased her pair the very next day (I’m still waiting to become a proud owner of these gems). And by lunch we were somehow onto to the subject of women’s rights and Cleopatra. Here’s what she had to say in regards to the questions we cooked up for her…

Line: For starters, tell us about your role as CeCe Jones on Disney’s hit series, Shake It Up. What similarities do you share with your character?
Bella: My character is very tomboyish, loves fashion, loves hair and makeup, and she’s kinda ditzy. We are similar in that she cares a lot about her best friend, Rocky. She’s always helping her out, and I’m like that with my best friend.

Line: What ultimately inspired you to step into the world of acting, singing, and dancing?
Bella: It was my brother. Because I’m dyslexic, I thought I wouldn’t be able to act with all the reading involved. My brother got a job that ended up being a pilot. He was just a co-star, and I watched him on stage while everyone in the live audience was laughing and full of energy. He said to me, “Who cares what people say? Just do it.” So I started when I was nine, and began booking. I was never a singer or dancer until Shake It Up. Dancing is so amazing, I love it. It’s cool that you’re able to express feelings in different ways. Singing is great too, I started after I was on the show, which was a fun challenge. It’s a tough business, and you have to make time for it. I’ve been working on my voice, doing some upbeat dance music lately.

Bella seriously looks beyond GORGEOUS in these photos, be sure to check them out!

“In spite of all the attention she gets from millions of fans, 15-year-old Disney star Bella Thorne manages to “Live in a truthful way” and to stay who she really is. Bella thorne opens up to Glamaholic about ‘Shake It Up’, what will she do after the show, and giving back to her community.

Glamaholic: First of all, Happy New Year! Your new year’s resolutions include being more involved in charity. What kind of charity or cause would you like to support?
Bella: I love working with the Humane Society and I am doing this campaign with Ring Pops and if my flavour pop is chosen then a donation will be made to the Humane Society. I am also getting more and more involved with the Los Angeles Mission. I am really inspired by all the good they are doing for the homeless.

G: You also want to become a better singer this year, and I hear that you’re recording some new music. What can you tell us about this?
B: This year our ‘Shake It Up’ soundtrack will heavily feature Zendaya and I, as opposed to the other season where we had just a song or two. I am also working on my first single, which will better showcase the type of artist that I want to be.

G: Do you think that at some point you would be focusing on music more than acting?
B: Acting is my true passion, and I have an announcement regarding music coming soon.

G: You’ve been on ‘Shake It Up’ for 2 years now. How would you describe your whole experience on the show?
B: Ahhh… actually we are in season 3. I have made friends that will be with me for my whole life. I have learned more about myself and as an artist. Disney and SIU have been so supportive and have challenged me to reach beyond myself professionally and personally. They have opened my eyes to so many possibilities and I could never ever express my gratitude

G: What’s coming next for CeCe?
B: CeCe is growing as a person… She is learning more about herself and may not be as clueless as she has been in previous seasons. She is growing up. She may have a love interest coming up and she has some new familial situations she has to deal with.

G: Do you think that being a Disney star you have a responsibility of presenting a role model to your fans?
B: don’t think it is any actor’ responsibility o be a role model. I think it is your family that sets the standards, and kids can’t look to Hollywood to do that for them. We are all human and make mistakes and it is a ton of pressure to grow up in front of the camera and have the whole world comment on your errors. You are criticised for doing the same things that teenagers everyday are doing. You are slammed sometimes by hundreds of millions of people on the internet. With that being said, I am more cautious and have learned by girls previously on the channel. I also have a mom that I can talk to and helps guide me through these growing years. What I am happy about, is that I can use my celebrity to better my community and encourage kids to volunteer and make the world their business. I think that we should all have the responsibility to make the world a better place and help those less fortunate than ourselves. I would not be oppose to a mandatory time in community service for all teens!”

G: Are you already thinking about what you will do after ‘Shake It Up’?
B: Yes, of course. we are exploring film, book, and musi opportunities. I also know that when I graduate I want to go to college.

G: Do you think that your image will change when you move from Disney to the next level of your career?
B: I think I will grow as a person and as an actor. My image has always been exactly who I am. What you see is what you get. I don’t hide my personal life and I live in a truthful way. I will continue to do so.

G: How would you describe your dream role?
B: My dream role would be in a musical.

Who would be your dream co-star?
B: Jennifer Lawrence

G: You have a very special relationship with your fans, you blog almost every day, and you communicate with them on Twitter… How important is this for you?
B: It is VERY important to me.. I have a special relationship with my fans and I never want that to change I wouldn’t have the opportunites that i do if it was not for their support, so I am thankful and will continue to earn their respect, support, and friendship.

G: Many of your blog posts are about fashion and beauty, and I feel like this is a part of you. How would you describe your own style?
B: I started as a model so I LOVE fashion. For my second Christmas, I asked for shoes. Not dolls, shoes. My own style varies and I am experimenting with it everyday. I am currently leaning towards a very clean tailored look, but I also love jeans and a t-shirt.

G: What is your new favorite trend?
B: Leather jeans.

G: Do you have a favorite fragrance?
B: Creed. black.

G: Is there any fun fact that your fans don’t know yet about you?
B: Probably not, since I tell them everything all the time! [laughs]

Bella Thorne had a white Christmas this year! After spending Christmas Eve helping out at the LA Mission, she and family packed up for a road trip to snow Lake Tahoe, NV!

Check out this interview Bella did with OK! about the holidays below, plus pics from her Lake Tahoe trip.

OK!: How are you spending the holidays?
Bella Thorne: I’m with my family, Tristan’s family, and all of our friends in Lake Tahoe. There’s SNOW!!!

OK!: What are your New Year’s Eve plans?
Bella Thorne: We will still be in Lake Tahoe. We will have a family party and I brought a dress, but I am not sure if I will be able to wear it—it’s VERY cold here!”

OK!: What’s your favorite holiday movie?
Bella Thorne: How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

OK!: What about song?
Bella Thorne:
Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, which I got to cover this year on the Disney Christmas album. I was so excited!

OK!: What was the best present you received this Christmas?
Bella Thorne:
 My Ipad mini!

OK!: What did Tristan get you?
Bella Thorne: He bought me a sweet white-gold bracelet with a cross on it. He is very Catholic!

OK!: What did you give everyone?
Bella Thorne:
I gave my mom Chanel perfume and I got Tristan a bike! I got lots of presents for Kingston and I bought my brother some clothes and both of my sisters received shoes.

OK!: What’s your NYE resolution?
Bella Thorne:
I am going to join a gym so I can work out with my mom and spend some alone time with her. I am going to be more involved in charity and in my community. I am also going to work on becoming a better singer…well continue to work on it as I am regularly now.

OK!: We saw you tweeting about helping out at the LA Mission over the holiday, why was it important to you to give back?
Bella Thorne:
It is very important to give back to your community. I have known what it is like to struggle after my dad died and now I am so thankful for everything I have—I want to share that with my community.

OK!: What was the best part of that experience?
Bella Thorne:
The best part was the kids’ faces when they received the toys. That look alone made this the best Christmas for me.

Hey guys!

A couple weeks ago I gave you the chance to ask me about the holidays, and I am so excited to share my answers with you! There were seriously so many good questions, but I narrowed it down to three this time. I really love hearing about everyone’s plans and traditions this time of year, so I hope you enjoy hearing about mine too!

1. “What are your favorite Christmas movies to watch with your friends and family?” – bellarina13

I have a TON! My all-time favorites are Elf, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Santa Clause, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I also love to watch whatever’s playing on ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas. They always have the best Christmas movies on!

2. “What is something pretty but simple I could do with my hair for a New Year’s party?” – JessieLovesZella<3

Hey Jessie! I think that a ballerina bun always looks super elegant and it’s really easy too. You slick your hair back into a tight, high ponytail; and then twist your ponytail into a bun and secure it with LOTS of bobby pins and hairspray. :) Finish your look with some sparkly eyeshadow and you’re good to go!

3. “How do you celebrate on the Shake It Up! set?” - Jas

Hey Jas! We have a little holiday party on set where they bring in tons of yummy food! We also have a toy drive going on for kids whose families can’t afford Christmas presents. It feels really good to help others along with the whole SIUcast and crew!

What should my next Ask Bella topic be?

xo Bella
